Meet the team

Overstory was founded in 2018 by Dutch entrepreneurs at a machine learning competition, where they explored new ways to use satellites to detect deforestation in the Amazon rainforest.

Since then, we’ve grown into a team of more than 34 passionate climate advocates all across Europe and North America. We use satellite imagery and machine learning to provide enterprise organizations with vegetation intelligence to help them monitor things like wildfire risk, biodiversity, and deforestation.
